8CC:  The first topic in our Functions Unit is Topic 7: Comparing and Defining Functions. In this topic, we'll learn how to recognize and represent linear functions. We'll also examine the difference between linear and nonlinear functions. You're going to love the last section of this topic where you'll learn how to sketch function graphs! Please continue to work on Math IXL for at least 10-15 minutes a night. Keep those skills sharp! :) I have help sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday morning starting at 7:40 a.m. and by appointment. Have a great start to 2019!

Algebra: I'm excited to start Chapter 6: Systems of Equations and Inequalities. In this chapter, we'll learn how to solve linear systems using three different methods: graphing, substitution, and elimination. In the second part of the chapter, we'll explore graphing linear inequalities and systems of linear inequalities. During our graphing lessons, you're going to love finding the solutions using graph paper and pencil and by using the TI-nspire app! We'll also take time to apply our new skills to real-world application problems. Please continue to work on Math IXL for at least 10-15 minutes a night. Keep those skills sharp! :) I have help sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday morning starting at 7:40 a.m. and by appointment. Have a great start to 2019!
