Board of Education Approves New District 34 Administrators

Following approval at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, we are excited to share that the following educators will be stepping into new administrator roles in District 34:

Micheal DeBartolo will join the District as the new Assistant Superintendent for Business Services/Chief School Business Official (CSBO) on April 1, 2026. DeBartolo has eleven years of experience as a CSBO and sixteen years of experience as a licensed attorney. 

Megan Chin will begin a new role as the Director of Student Services beginning July 1, 2026. Chin is currently the Assistant Principal for Student Services at Springman and has been a part of District 34 for seven years. 

Jeremy Fischer will rejoin the District as Pleasant Ridge’s new Principal beginning July 1, 2026. Fischer currently works as the Associate Principal for Thomas Middle School in Arlington Heights District 25. He previously worked in District 34 at Attea as an Instructional Innovation Specialist and a 7th/8th grade ELA, Social Studies, and Science Teacher.
